The Marina
The Marina
There is scarcely a greater pleasure, than a great, Friday perching, by the sea,
for lack of other reason, than to watch boats get lower, and forklift free.
Each lowering: a gnome,
Of the giant epic we need,
To spend but a wading on the water,
And forward, float faster than we feed.
So that we shame the stomach,
And see,
Life’s cardinal sweetness,
Is to seek the waves, horizon setting,
And Sea.
